I really don't understand why The author Twinkle Khanna went into movies at all. by Penguin Books India. Its about a family of skeletons that live in a dark dark cellar in a dark dark house on a dark dark street etc etc etc. To check if I can find some tips on the writing style and I found that the book is fit for blogging scenario rather than a book. Great repetition and alliteration throughout. Great book, would highly recommend. During their adventure the dog skeleton falls and becomes a pile of bones, this is then followed by song to help put the dog back together. Maybe expecting the same sort of sarcastic dry humor through out the book was a mistake. Today Sylvia wants to share a new book that she absolutely loves. Very easy to read. God this book brings back so many childhood memories I think it was perhaps the only book me and my siblings argued over it terms of who owned it so I was ecstatic when I found it in a used book shop and as predicted my boy loves it! I thoroughly enjoyed reading this book. It was full of Desi wit and her jabs on all her loved ones were actually funny.

It doesn’t creep into her reminiscences, it doesn’t colour her present and it only ever sneaks into her future when she makes a wry assumption about “the prodigal son“–in case he ever wants to join the family business. Whilst it is not my all-time favourite childhood read I can still recall all the details of this one meaning it certainly left a lasting impression upon my young mind.
