The First Battle of Dybbøl was the first of three battles of the First War of Schleswig to be fought at Dybbøl between the Danish army and forces of Prussia and other German states.

It marks the anniversary of the key battle of the Second Schleswig War, in which Denmark was severely defeated by Prussia. In November 1863, King Christian IX of Denmark annexed the Duchy of Schleswig.
